If any subscription service hopes to survive an increasingly saturated vinylmarket, missteps cannont be afforded. I would imagine that striking a balance between delivering good new albums and reissuing old favorites has to be a precarious one. You wanna deliver the hits but you also wanna be able to introduce new vinyl folk to older classics.

Fugees. Slam Dunk. Net comes crashing down. If “The Score” wasn’t the best selling hip hop album of the 90s, it sure as hell came close. I won’t insult you by providing a “review”, if you like it you know how good it is. VMP just made sure their pressing was much better than anyone could expect, by adding a bonus 7″ to all the rest of the goodies that come with their regular monthly package. That 7″ was the difference, for me. That dubby Sly And Robbie remix of “Fu-Gee La” is the diamond in this crown. Chill as fuck and not available with any other lp vinyl pressings. The definitive version, right here.
