VINYL 101: Make Your Own Vinyl Cleaning Fluid Using Household Items

VINYL 101: Make Your Own Vinyl Cleaning Fluid Using Household Items

While a great many homebrew record cleaning fluid recipes exist, we decided to keep it simple. Ingredients like Tergitol or Photo Flow wetting agent will certainly make a difference, but we decided to focus on every day ingredients that can be easily purchased at your local pharmacy or grocery store.
The vid’s under 3 minutes, but here’s an overview:

2 spray bottles will be required, with as fine a mist as possible

BOTTLE #1: CLEANING FLUID
-1 part isopropyl alcohol
-4 parts distilled water
-a few drops of dish soap

BOTTLE #2: RINSE
-fill with distilled water
-Use after cleaning, as a rinse

Have a homebrew recipe to share? Post it in the comments, let the rest of us vinyl junkies know!
